Dr Angela Clark is an Independent Consultant Forensic Anthropologist and Human Remains Specialist in Aotearoa New Zealand. She is the director of Forensic Anthropology Services Ltd.

Angela is trained as a Forensic Anthropologist in the UK and Aotearoa New Zealand. She holds a Doctorate (PhD) in Biological Anthropology, MSc (hons) in Human Osteology and Palaeopathology, and BSc (hons) in Forensic Science. Angela is a part-time Lecturer in Forensic Biology and Forensic Anthropology at the University of Otago.

Angela is a Member of the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences, a Member of the British Association of Forensic Anthropology, and a Council Member of the Australian New Zealand Forensic Science Society. She has over 15 years of experience in the examination and analysis of human remains in forensic, historical, and archaeological contexts.

Forensic CaseworkTo date, Angela has assisted New Zealand Coroners in mummified, decomposed and skeletonised remains examinations, worked nationally with Forensic pathologists and Nga Pirihimana o Aotearoa New Zealand Police in the investigation and identification of human and non-human remains, and independently consulted on forensic cases for High Courts
RepatriationInternationally, Angela was an integral part of a DVI team in operation Te Auraki, assisting te Ope Kātua o Aotearoa New Zealand Defence Force on the recovery and repatriation of deceased servicemen from overseas. She is currently the Aotearoa New Zealand observer in the INTERPOL Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Anthropology Sub-Group, part of the INTERPOL Pathology Working Group, for ANZPAA NIFS
Forensic ResearchAngela is an award-winning teacher and researcher, she currently supervises research students and conducts ongoing multidisciplinary research in forensic anthropology, trauma analysis, and human identification and has published peer-reviewed research papers and book chapters
